how far in advance should i book?

but i don't know exactly when my baby will arrive. how do i book that?

can I bring props that are special to me?

i'm not creative at all. what if I don’t have any ideas for my session?

i know you provide outfits for newborn sessions, but what about other milestones? do you provide those as well?

what if my baby doesn’t cooperate? Or (eeeeek!) poops on everything??

when should i have my maternity photos taken?

do you provide cakes for cake smashes or do i?

my calendar can fill up with dates months in advance. the sooner you reach out, the better.

This is a great question and one I get all the time! Since babies are unpredictable, I book a tentative date based on your due date. That date can then be adjusted forward or backward depending on when your baby makes their debut!

Yes! I love when clients have unique ideas for me! This is your session and I want it to be meaningful for YOU! If you have a special blanket or prop, I’d love to try to use it! I just ask that you discuss it with me ahead of time so that I can prepare!

That is perfectly fine! Part of your newborn or milestone experience is taking advantage of my creative side! I am very capable of planning the entire session! Stress free is the goal here….just breathe momma!

I have a complete client closet for babies aged 3-12 months!
I love to use outfits i have on hand but you are certainly wecome to bring your favorites as well! Ask me for a link to view my closet!

I have a lot of experience with newborns! I’ve been pooped and peed on more times than I can count! We just clean up and move on. If your baby becomes fussy during the session, we will take a break to feed and snuggle or whatever it takes. I block off 3 hours for the session for this reason. If we see that baby isn’t going to cooperate with a particular pose, we just move on to the next! While we prefer baby to be sleeping, if he/she decides to have a wakeful period, we will swaddle and take that opportunity to capture some adorable awake shots!

maternity sessions are best photographed when you are between 30 and 35 weeks.

i choose to not provide cakes for smashes due to any allergies that may be present. you will need to bring a small cake for baby to smash.

my favorite time to get babies into the studio is between 12-14 days after birth
